For an auto shop, it sounds about right.
If there is a next time, just take it to a general machine shop, I found
them to be cheaper by far.
Had a bushing pressed out of a swingarm on my GL500....they didn't want to
charge me _anything_, because the paperwork wan't worth his time. They took
it as a challenge, and had it out in *seconds*. Didn't have time to get
jelly beans out of the machine!
I gave him $5, which I'm sure went right into his pocket, and all's right
with the world.
