Can dealers do this?

Hi all,

IS there such thing as giving my Audi's VIN to a dealer and they can trace
my car's repair history? At least the repairs that were made by the
dealers? I'm just curious because I'm trying to trace my car's history. I
already got the ownership history from Carfax, but that doesn't give me
any names, so it's not that helpful. Thanks a lot.
