I was able to completely rip apart the cable motor for a P 944; the 
motor sits underneath a hose connection and coolant leaks into the 
box+destroys the motor.  Took me about an hour to completely go over 
it, including cleaning out+"overhauling" the motor completely, and 
when I was done, worked good as new.  My father declared that he 
wished I had done it -before- he spent $200+ on a new motor unit.  I 
suspect the audi part is somewhat cheaper.
