Ok, here is the gospel.  If you dispute this, contact Audi directly, and
chew their off.  As they stated in their e-mail to me, the front fenders
are sheet metal stampings, not plastic.  If you want the whole e-mail
(including the mail I send to Audi, mail me directly, and I'll send it
along.  I just didn't want to clutter up the lists.  Thanks.  : )

The A8 uses an Audi Space Frame for its entire structure.

Sheet metal stampings are used for the fenders.
