with the proper tools (most important), a manual, some common sense, and
patience (take your time!) most repairs are w/i your reach, especially a
radiator. you'll be surprised what you can do. GO FOR IT!

Ok, you guys be the judge based on stuff that I have done, honest opinions
only please...:)

I change my own oil and filter, I fixed my Audi's jumping speedometer when
the weather is cold, and I fixed the burnt headlight (low beam) terminal in
the light switch. Those are the only repairs I've done so far, the rest
(like motor mounts, tranny mounts, bomb, cat, cv boot, etc) were done by my
mechanics. You think I qualify to change the radiator? Because someone said
it's 1.5 hour job, which doesn't sound too bad for me, but then again this
guy might be a professional mechanic.

If you think I can do it, is there any special tool necessary? I have the
normal sized wreches, screwdrivers, and stuff, nothing out of the ordinary.

BTW, those fixes that I made, I could only do it because the help of all of
you at Quattro list, and sjmautotechnik. You guys are the best bunch of
people I've known on the net. 'Nuff said. Thanks a lot.

Martin
