Bollocks.  One issue very relevant to you is that recent service
activity might have added spare parts that are still under a separate
parts warranty.  You're perfectly entitled to know that such parts
exist on the vehicle you just bought.

If this is a dealer who did some of the work, then perhaps they're
worried that they didn't update the database properly - in my experience,
this is _VERY_ common indeed.
