5KTQ Torque steer?

Looking for BTDT's.
The steering on my 86 5ktq is acting oddly.  The front end seems to be
hunting at times.  Sometimes the wheel and car are straight, other times it 
may take 15 degrees of left or right steering imput to maintain
straight tracking.  At a constant steering input the car may increase the 
radius of the turn on its own as when changing lanes. last when I apply gas 
with no pressure on the steering wheel it will jerk to the left a bit.
The rack has been replaced has have the front springs (lower) and struts and 
control arms plus alignment.  The front tires are starting to show slightly 
accelerated wear on their inner most treads.
Ideas welcome.
