Time to think about snow tires

Michelin has Arctic Alpin and Pilot Alpin. The Arctic Alpin is a Q-rated
snow tire, and the Pilot Alpin is an H (?) rated "high performance" snow
tire. "High performance" snow tires are designed for areas where the snow is
infrequent. I considered the Hakkas, but they are also Q-rated, heavy snow
area tires. The snow here is infrequent and rarely lasts, so I wanted a tire
that wouldn't outright suck on dry pavement. :)

I opted for Toyos winter tire, which I just had installed (215-55/16 on
stock wheels). I'll send email to the list with my opinions on dry
performance in a couple weeks, and then snow performance after it snows. :)

Best regards,
Brad
