bouden cable motor

Just picked up a a/c programmer motor (bouden cable thingy) rebuilt for $70 
from mountain auto. I thought about buying an entire rebuilt programmer 
unit, but chickened out.

Ignoramis question: according to my Bentley & previous list posting, it's 
rebuilt warm up regulator time (I think...). Forgive my ignorance, but is 
this a rebuild kit that my wrench would rebuild, or does one buy the rebuilt 
unit? Or either?
