Here is one reply and it's the best advice I can give.

#1. Buy a copy of " Bosch Fuel Injection & Engine Management" C.O Probst
author, R. Bentley Pub.

#2. Buy a set of fuel pressure gauges with a shut off valve. J.C.
Whitney
has an inexpensive set.(from the archives...........)

>JC Whitney has a CIS fuel pressure gauge set in their catalog (includes
>the needed valve) for $54.95. It's item # 12LY3617U,in case you are
>interested in getting one.

#3. You will also need a multi-meter for various current and voltage
measurements. The meter should also be able to read "duty cycle",
since that's what you nned to measure in order to get the mixture
    correct.

There is no way to adjust the mixture etc. by ear or guess work, trust
me
on this. It's not a carburetor, everything is inter-related so you
really
need to set it up correctly or the every present hard starts, poor
power,
bad mpg, et al will surely continue. Not to mention some you haven't run
into.
When the CIS system is working well it's quite good. When it's
not.....well
it sure can be a problem.
