Consensus on the air-bag light issue?

q-Listers,

What is the consensus with the air-bag light staying on.  

I ask because of a friend's '94 90 has just experienced this phenomena.
The car has had the Air-Bag sensor recall service performed some months ago.
Now her A-B light is on.  I've read where the problem may be due to a
"sporadic" condition of the indicator bulb, where replacing the bulb may be
the fix, and/or the spring in the steering wheel adjacent to the air bag is
suggested to be replaced.
