Bad Urq Strut Mounts?

    I was checking the suspension today and noticed something I've never
felt before.  When I grabbed the wheel and rocked it, as if checking the
control arm bushings, I noticed a fair amount of play.  I know I have a bad
right hand bearing so I instantly thought my wheel was about to fall off the
next time I drive the car.  Though the whole strut appeared to moving.  So I
held the strut and rocked the wheel again, this time no play.  So I
continued rocking without holding onto the strut to see where the looseness
was coming from, not control arm bushings, not ball joint, not bearing, and
then I spotted it.  The strut mount/bearing seems loose, not the rubber
portion just the metal ring that rides on the bearings is loose.  Is this
normal when the mount/bearing is unloaded?  The strut mounts are only a few
months old and I don't remember this sort of play before.
