Hi all,

Reading some back q-digests, I came across the V8 performance discussion
and dug out my V8 brochures for some official data. Thought this might
amuse you...

This is from a German 6/90 brochure:

3.6 litre 250 hp, cat:
0-100 kmh (62 mph) automatic 4-speed 8.9 s, top speed 235 kmh
			manual 5-spd 7.6 s, top speed 244 kmh

This is from a German 1/92 brochure:

3.6 litre 250 hp, cat:
0-100 kmh (62 mph) automatic 4-speed 9.2 s, top speed 235 kmh
			manual 6-spd 7.9 s, top speed 244 kmh

4.2 litre 280 hp, cat:
0-100 kmh automatic 4-speed 7.7 s, top speed 249 kmh (limited)
			manual 6-speed 6.8 s, top speed 249 kmh (limited)

4.2 litre 280 hp 'Lang', cat:
0-100 kmh automatic 4-speed 7.9 s, top speed 249 kmh (limited)
			manual 6-speed 7.0 s, top speed 249 kmh (limited)

Cars were emission-controlled to US '83 standards.

Seriously quick cars...Apparently, the 6-speed manual was a no-cost option
in Germany in '92.
Amusingly, the '90 brochure quotes permitted trailer weights, 'only with
special permit for sports purposes such as boat trailers or horse boxes'.
Can't have anyone towing a caravan with these luxury cars... :-)

Tom
