5KCS Lost Dash Lites

My 86 5KTQW recently lost the dash lites.  At first I thought it was the
new clock, dimmer assembly I had just put in to replace an ailing
clock.  However after a brief test with the old assembly it seems that
was not the culprit...

A bit more probing and I finally got to what I should have looked at
first, a blown fuse #14.  A replacement fus also blew right away (before
I could see if there were any signs of dash lites.

So I've obviously got a short somewhere.  My question to those on the
list that may have BTDT before is what are the common places to look for
a short on this circuit?

All suggestions welcomed..
