87 5KTQW injector cooling fan problem

Yes you are. The injector cooling fan will also run in slow or stop/go
traffic.
Necessary ? probably not but it was an after thought.

The turbo after-run waterpump and 1st stage fan have no connection with it.
If they were to redesign the 44 then both systems would probably be
integrated.
