Die-Hard or Interstate Battery? on a 97 A4Q

sounds like a dead cell. the batt might start for you, but as soon as there
is a bit more current going out than going in, you're batt dies. Have the
batt tested. Many places do it for free. They can load test it to tell if
it's really bad or the charging system. AutoZone actually does a free
alternator test too, as others as well. But you need to pull these items.
Problem solving must start simple, then move to the more complicated stuff.
So start w/ a batt test, and then check things like belts, alt., etc. A '97
seems too young to have a trickle discharge problem. If the batt. is
original, it's 4+ yrs. old. It's time for a new batt.

I've personally had excellent experience w/ DieHards. Get the best warranty
you can get and you're all set. Batteries are mostly similar in design, but
some are more well built. good luck.
