Unless you have good reason, don't get the largest tire possible. 
The substantial(and I do mean SUBSTANTIAL) sidewall will result in 
almost dangerously mushy handling.

www.tirerack.com has a good guide and lots of customer ratings.  Keep 
in mind the application and audience when reading a set of numbers. 
Those who drive sports cars will be more opinionated(not necessarily 
correct) when evaluating things like "handling."
