I just love Audi dealers!

Bill...I had the clock spring replaced in my 89; it was not replaced in the
airbag recall. I have not done any fooling around with either airbag equipped
car, though it is clear the the 91 is going to require some. Not only is the
airbag light a headache but the left side of the center section of the steering
wheel is loose...the part that you push to blow the horn. The PO had the
ignition switch replaced with a non-matching key shortly before I bought the car
and I think that our local monkey boys that did the job left a bunch of things
loose. There is a clunk on bumps heard inside the dash that I can't find.
Probably something else that wasn't properly fastened when they buttoned it up.
When I get to taking the dash apart, I will be looking for some BTDTs,
especially with regard to the airbag issue. Regards, Tom
