I'll second that. I've been using a similar setup. You set your level of
destruction - mine set around 20 PSI. Any higher and it's detonation time!
Make sure your knock sensor is working ok.

I installed a 1.6 Bar Charlie spring which gives faster spoolup. I will
soon be trying a 2 Bar spring.

No negative effects on gas mileage, drives like N/A car around town. Seat
of the pants acceleration is pretty good, but don't consider this a 0-60
car, but more of a 30 - 130+mph car. Once the turbo get spooled up - yee
hah, look out!

(Not really a requested answer, since I use a stock wastegate spring, a
resistor, and a dialable WGFV. But, a mod that is easily available and very
effective.)

Stock: Almost casual.

Post Timmerman "Shrapnnel-Knobben" mod: Frighteningly fast, bordering on
destructive/out-of-control. The true meaning of unintended acceleration.
Who has time to look at stop watches and speedometers? Very satisfying.
More than I expected. No problems yet, after 2 years.
