Check to see if you have spark. Just pull a spark plug out and make the gnd
electrode of the plug contact the engine block or ground point. Be careful
and use insulation material...20,000+V!!! Crank the engine for several seconds.
If no spark, check wiring connections for corrosion or looseness. Test each
wire including coil wire. You can find the specs in the Bentley or Haynes.
Check the coil for proper resistance and follow the ignition test outline
in one of the manuals.
If spark exists, check for fuel, by smell, or by checking pressure at
various points. Check fuel filter, etc. Fuel systems can be diagnosed w/ a
good fuel pressure gauge set.
oh, and also check for proper batt charge, and if the starter is spinning
the engine fast enough. good luck.
