3B head onto MC block...more thoughts...

Hi!
Yes, I'm clearly at work right now, getting nothing constructive done.
:) Had a thought the other day regarding the 3B 20-valve head onto MC
block idea that was discussed on the list a few weeks back. This time to
do with the pistons.
The way I understand it is that since the MC is a 7.8:1 compression
motor, the 3B something like 9.2:1 it'd mean there's enough space for
the valves of the 3B to work in above the MC pistons. Is that
understanding correct? Both motors are interference type.
Next thing that came to mind is the shape of the top of the pistons.
Aren't they different between 3B and MC? The MC has a single dish in the
top. What does the 3B unit have? Now, what would happen if one used
those MC pistons with the 3B head?
Not looking for a complete 3B. I already have an MC and an extra MC
sub-assembly which I've gone through pains to get good rebuild parts
for. Not looking to get a used 3B and rebuild that as well.
