I see. So, when I turn the key on, I can hear the FP or something
back there buzzing (it's not loud, btw), because I am about to start
the vehicle(?).
So, if I were to crank it and it not start, the FP would not be
pumping at that point, even tho' the key would still be in the "on"
position.
I thought I didn't know this, but I guess I do, since the pump is
supposed to shut off if the engine stops.
Wasn't there something that stops the spark, if the engine isn't
turning. The crank position sensor, or hall sensor or something.
Pins in the flywheel, etc. I guess that would be the same engine
turning reference that also controls fuel pump operation?
Thanks,
Ken
