Fuel pump difference...

Hi!

I'm still after that Pierburg pump for my '89 200. It seems with
shipping costs included bringing in the Pierburg from the States will
still be less than the local Audi dealer's price for a Bosch.

Pierburg indicate a part number of 7.21651.50.0 for the replacement
pump. James Marriott got Rick from Import Parts Specialists onto it for
me and I got a price of $250 for the pump. Rick however indicate the
Pierburg references to Audi OE number 895 906 089E, which according to
ETKA is the pump used in the 1993 Audi 100 with 2.3 litre 'AAR' engine.
ETKA says 447 906 091 C or 447 906 091 J for the Audi 200 of 1989 in
which my VIN falls. (Whatever the little "J..." in the "Model" column
means, I have no idea).

Question is: is 447 906 091 J/C interchangeable with 895 906 089E? That
is, will fuel pump from 1993 Audi 100 2.3 work in the 1989 Audi 200 with
MC engine (VIN 44ZKU005190)?
