Not to start a big argument or anything, but I feel that this is more than
just an "audi list". I have made several friends from being a member of
this list, and I really value that. Additionally, many people have been
helped by the great wealth of intelligence on this list with matters totally
unrelated to Audis. Personally, I feel that putting NAC in the subject line
is perfectly fine, as long as you're not trying to advertise or profit from
your message. I have seen people announce great events in their lives such
as becoming a father/mother or wife/husband. These messages are typically
very well met. It must be great to know that you have a group of people
that care enough to wish you well, even though some only know you as name.
Additionally, what does it hurt if someone wants some help with something
as important as a thesis? Seriously, it was only 1 message, and a very
short one at that. I find nothing wrong with this, and, in fact, encourage
it. If you don't like NAC messages, just don't read them. I, for one, am
certainly glad to have such a large resource at my fingertips. One last
point.... About 50 times as much bandwidth is wasted by people fighting and
arguing about opinions, so why don't we just let the NAC stuff slide, and
crack down on the pointless argument.

P.S. Sorry for the WOB, everyone!

Exactly what does this have to do with Audis?
I suggest that we boycott this survey, seeing as it was completely
inappropriate to post to the list.
Why is it that people can't get a grip on the fact that if you have
to put "NAC" in the subject line, you shouldn't post the message in
the first place?
