sorry for yet another message(promise, last one), but just wanted to
confirm and give some directions to the meeting spot.

Greg and I just spoke, and he said he won't be able to make it
Sunday, but we're more than welcome to meet at his shop. I promised
I'd hand out some business cards if he left 'em out somewhere in a
ziplock in return for letting us use his parking lot :-)

He's confirmed that the route from Amenia to the clock shop is a
"great drive", and that the north adams(MA) natural rock bridge is
also a great attraction; he said there's a very short hike(few
minutes I think) up to the top and it's well worth it.

To get to Greg's shop, I highly recommend mapquest; give Amenia, NY
as the destination, and take a look at the route's endpoint in a map.
You'll see that the center of amenia(at least on mapquest and Delorme
maps) is at the intersection of 343 and 22; points of the compass.

If you are coming from the south up 22(you can take 22 pretty much
all the way from 684 if your heart desires, it's a very simple route;
that's how I'm going--STAY straight on 22, do not take any exits off
684, it just turns into 22; keep on 22, do NOT fork off to the left
onto 343 in Dover Plains!), you want to take a right at the town
intersection(gas station on your left, shops on the right.) Drive
down 343, and I believe it's less than a mile on the left. Sign says
AutoFirme, and if you're arriving after 9am, chances are there will
be at least a black 200q20v in the parking lot; I'm allowing for
about an hour and a half to get from WP to amenia, more than enough
time.

If you're a late riser or further to the east and want to cut an hour
or two off the drive time you that day, you may join us at the
clock+watch museum. It is in Bristol, CT, two blocks off US 6 at 100
Maple Street. Phone number is 860-583-6070 for directions. Get
there before 11(we should arrive at 10:30) to hear the clocks all go
off at once, it's supposed to be very impressive :-)

I ask that you RSVP as soon as possible but stragglers will be
welcomed as long as they're on time; I will be checking
email+voicemail right up until I head out the door for the office. I
will be forwarding my work phone(below) to my cell Saturday
night/Sunday morning, but the phone konks out most of the time up
there near greg's, so beware...towards 9am, you'll be on your own!
You can call pretty late(11pm) saturday.

If you wish to meet me and you're in the white plains area or it's
along the way for you, take 287 to the white plains exit 8 from
either direction. From either exit, it's a left onto Westchester
Ave(the mall will be looming in front of you or to your left; if you
pass it on your left, you've gone too far; stay to the left and you
can completely loop back within about 500-1000 feet.) After you pass
Saks fifth avenue, the next traffic light, hang a right and go up the
driveway; there will be a big sign for "120." I will be there in the
lot UNTIL 7:30am, please plan to be there at 7:15. There is a
dunkin' donuts further up the road, but be advised, it is a ROYAL
pain to reverse directions, allow a few minutes extra time if you go
up that way.

Greg provided an additional caution to my own; CT troopers and local
police do patrol. Try to keep it within 5, as they say.
