BTDT's? code 2113 10vMC1 Hall Sendor in distributor...

Hello All,
    Yesterday,  I installed the resister mod, and the S.knob on my car.
All seemed to be working marvelously, until just now.  The engine
started bucking when the boost came up, 12psi, and then just quit.  I
pulled the fault codes, and get code 2113 Hall sender in distributor.
Do you suppose the mod is related to the problem, or just coincidence?
Any one have any experience with the Hall sender in the distributor?
    I don't plan on running the Resistor/S.Knob in the car for very
long.  I just had to convince my wife that upgrading the boost would be
loads of fun, before she will ok the funds for a proper chip mod.
Incidentally,  she was thoroughly impressed.  Of course, it could be
that a friend of mine just came by to let us drive his brand new Honda
s2000.  Which, after driving, I can safely say that he would be
thoroughly disappointed to know that my 5000cs would blow the doors off
of it.  Amazing what $40k doesn't buy you these days.  Really amazing
that he choose that car over the TT Roadster he started out to get....
