Need Advice, part 2

Thanks to those who responded regarding my request for advice on a '97 A6. I
didn't want to give my whole life story, but based on the responses I got, I
think I need to explain more. I wish I had the luxury of time and money to
look for just the right S4!

The wonderful divorce judge gave me until 10/29 to turn over our Subaru to
my estranged wife. I will keep the Porsche 911, but I have the kids.
Therefore, I need to trade the 911 in fairly soon so I have something more
practical for the kids.  I have one car, and I have limited time to get a
new one. It's unrealistic to think I can sell the Porsche on my own quickly
and get another car the same day. Also, open top cars don't sell as well in
the winter. So I went to a Porsche/Audi dealer looking for basically an even
trade. Because my assets are tied up, I have limited ability to raise cash.
Such is my tale of woe.

Can you get chips for the 2.8L engine? Are they worth it?
