Oil pump instead of idler roller

It's been accepted wisdom on the list for some time that the idler
roller should be changed when the belt is changed. I was pricing up
such a change today and happened to check the price for a complete
oil pump. As I read the situation, an exchange oil pump for a Coupe
GT is only a few pounds more than an idler roller - and the latter
is included in the package.

This doesn't seem to be the case with, e.g., an MC oil pump - although
the system emits a note saying the idler roller needs to be removed
on older cars. What's the truth - does an MC oil pump come with an
idler roller? Anyone bought one recently?
