There's a bridgestone commercial with that dorky guy in it racing a
downhill skier to advertise their tires. Then he challenges him back up the
hill. It was a silver A6 I think. No credit was given to the car, and
there was a subtitle saying that it was not faked.
Also Ronin was on the Movie Network last night. I forgot how good
the car chases were in this movie. Some of it was a little unrealistic (ie.
cars explode on minor front end collision), but the setting was in the
small streets of France. They tore up an older A6 I think, or maybe it was
an A8. I don't remember, but the movie has by far the best and most complex
chase scenes I've seen so far (Missed Gone In 60 Seconds so can't compare)
Oh yeah... that Jarret and Labonte comercial is supposed to be
advertising how in the competitors game there is no damage and it makes the
game boring, but in "their" game there is damage and it is better. I just
don't get how the AUDI is a representative of the stock cars in America.
The only North American Races I've ever seen AUDI's in were the ALMS, the
SCCA, and the FIA. All of which have very little to do with anything the
least bit REDNECKish like Stock car OVALs.
