87.5 CGT noises

Whenever I start my 87.5 Coupe GT, just after I disengage the starter, it sounds as though
a high-pitched Donald Duck is caught in my engine some where. It seems like a metallic
rattling or grinding. It kind-of takes away from the pleasure of starting such an,
otherwise, nice-sounding engine. The sound only lasts for a second or two, till the
engine settles down to idle.
Also, when I am driving along shifting gears, a little bumble-bee sounding buzz coming
from the instrument panel has started to sound in the last few weeks. Most of the time it
is just for a fraction of a second. In my '82 Coupe, I think I remember this happening
and the problem was oil pressure (I think). However, in this coupe, I don't see the oil
light coming on. The buzz seems to be happening mostly when the engine isn't quite warm
yet.
Lastly, the engine is strong (157,000 miles), but I think it's burning some oil. I hadn't
notice this till I put in Castrol full synthetic last month. Now it seems to be losing a
half-quart every two weeks. I don't see any leaks.
Your help is much appreciated. Please advise.
Thanks,
