Rather than sanding, which only cleans the pin, you
might try putting alittle Brasso or other mild
polishing compound in the hole and then just keep
turning it and working it in and out. I sat in the
living rm. watching the game one day while I did this.
You can polish the pins and holes, without removing
to much metal. With new grease and boots, you've got
10 more years of life, for under $10. This won't work
if your pins look like they've spent the past 10 yrs.
in salt water, although mine were pretty rusty.
