No, the S8 has 360hp in Europe when they went to the 5v head, 340
before that. The 440hp you refer to is the Hohenester twin-turbo conversion
of the S8. That car also has more than 600 lb.-ft. of torque! MTM also
has a similar conversion.

It definitely has more hp.  It's 360, compared to 310 in the A8.  I've heard
of
over 400 hp in Europe, but I have no proof.  It claims roughly 5.2 0-60
times
in the 6-speed european configuration.  Not too shabby.  EC had a 440hp (or
somewhere around there) S8 in an article about 6 months ago.  I'll try to
look
it up tonight.
