urS6 Longish Cranking - Normal?

My '95 S6 typically requires the engine to turn over 3-4 times before it
will start?   Is this normal for the AAN?  Car has 37k miles.  New F5DPOR
plugs installed about 2k miles ago when I bought it.  I had looked at
another S6 before purchasing this one and it was even worse.  About 5-6
crankovers before it would fire.  That car had close to 60k miles and I just
assumed it was in need of a tune up but now I'm beginning to wonder if this
may just be typical.

My past experience with the NA 5 cyl Audi engines is that they fire up
pretty much instantaneously.
