i thought this would have been well-understood, but that's marketing for
you...
there is no relationship between the awd systems in a wrc rally car and
those of the cars you can buy in the showroom. all the wrc rally cars have
fully "active" systems with bespoke gearboxes and transmissions. all use
active clutch-packs in their diffs, and most have all 3 diff's active. the
setup and software to control these systems is proprietary and a
closely-guarded secret.
the transmission of the ford focus is around 125k gbp is you want to buy
one. it's built by xtrac.
however, the toyota wrc car (rip) did use a "hang-on clutch" (a la haldex)
for a couple of years.
