American v. German & S6

I didn't mean to imply the Germans are/were faster.  Just that the
mentioned American cars straight line speed against the Germans would be
close racing.  Neither of the mentioned American cars would totally dust
off the Germans.  Especially since only 3 German cars are true luxury
cars offering a big displacement V8, (1) 2dr & (2) 4 drs, (2) automatic
transmissions cars, each of the V8 cars weighing way more than the big
muscle Amercan cars at that. 

It wasn't about cross-shopping, but a comparison of cars.  And seeing
that the M5, E55 will keep up with a Vette or  Viper, Camaro, Mustang,
or Fire Bird is astonishing in itself.
