Not so great deal on used wheels and tires

Hi all 
I'm in the market for a aftermarket set of wheels and tires for my 91 200 20v and have come across a  barely used set of wheels and tires for sale off of a 97 A4 quattro. Its not exactly what I was looking for, but if I I could strike a good enough deal up and save a few bucks I would probably buy them. The wheels are 17X8 Borbet type T with Bridgestone S-02 pole positions tires w/5-6k miles. The package retails for $1600 new to my front door, he's asking $1200. I think that's much too high.... What would be a fair price for the package? Oh, I would also need to buy hubcentric spacers for the wheels they're a 42mm offset and I need a 35mm, which will cost me another $40-50. I'd really like some your input on the matter!
