heated seat woes

The hog ring pliers available from Eastwood make the task of removing a seat
cover much easier. No way do I have the patience to carefully pry open, and
then squeeze back together a $.00002 piece of wire. 25 times. The straight
pair work best (#52032, $20.99). The hog rings (#52033, $1.99) are the only
ones I have found that are the same size (close) as the factory ones. No
affiliations.....just a good resource for alot of cool car stuff.
Also, this is a good time to repair seat bolsters. The plastic channel that
engages the steel frame cracks over time, causing uneven loading on the foam
padding, which causes the foam to split. Fortunately, I had a junk seat at
my disposal to get a spare plastic channel. The foam splits repair nicely
with 3M spray adhesive and duct tape.
