I think you may wish to think again when it comes to the current
generation pony cars and the Corvette.
By the numbers, they can corner with the best of them. Actually, many of
the 'merican cars can out corner the others mentioned. And the new IRS of
the Mustang means that it and the Corvette can even keep up when the road
has less than a perfect surface. Now, they may not feel as good doing
this, and I'd hasten to say that their build quality and materials aren't
quite up to European standards, but then, they don't cost as much either.
And, they don't offer AWD.
It's a matter of taste (and $$$). Personally, I'll save the $$$ and spend
them instead on keeping up older Audis.
