This is normal if they are not tightened up yet.
Be sure to have the car on the ground before tightening them, otherwise
failure could result.

Hi!
I sent my struts off to have the wheel bearings fitted about 2 or 3
weeks ago. I'm busy with the struts now, prep'ing for a sandblast. I now
notice that the hub and inner race will shift and make a clicking noise.
This is more noticeable on the one strut than the other. What have I got
here? Buggered bearings or normal? Holding the strut still, take hold of
the hub and move it and the thing moves. Look in from the CV end of
things and the inner race will tilt slightly.
Am I looking at having to actually order new bearings again (2 month
wait)?
BTW, no circlips came with the SKF bearings. I believe that is ok, but
one has to use red loctite. Guess what? No loctite used for the job.
