No quattro was ever made with viscous coupling. The Syncros are viscous,
Porsches are viscous, some japanese cars are viscous. The problem is that the
viscous fluid will stand the rotating differences when you make a turn, but when
the front tires are more worn than the rear tires, it will lock all the time,
due to the heat build up that will happen. This will be like driving a 4k with
the center diff lock on all the time, with differently worn tires on front and
rear axles. This will give too much pressure on the internal differential parts,
which will end in total breakdown.

The Torsen will allow the little slack that will happen when the tires are
uneven worn, yo can describe it as it has a higher "edge" before it locks.
