I've always done my own oil changes, and taught several of my friends 
to do their own after the horror stories I've heard about these cheap 
oil change shops.  You would not believe how many times drain plugs 
have been left out, or engines overfilled.  Here's a new one: ATF 
used to top off the brake reservoir.  Now THAT was an expensive 
mistake.
