Helmut used an Audi I-5 in his 1980 aircooled Vanagon, while the Tiico and Fast
Forward swaps are I-4 VW/Audi 80s. THe nice thing with the Tiico conversion is
that they sell complete kits form South Africa, VW made the kit themselves, to
upgrade older wasserboxers to I-4s. This became especially popular after they
dropped the wasserboxer in favour of the I-4 in the production line. THe Vanagon
is still in produciton in SA, with the 1,8 I-5 and 2,3, 2,5 and 2,6 I-5s

Yes, this is the same guy (David Marshall) that has Fast Forward
http://www.fastforward.ca

The last one I can think of is Eurospec (IIRC), they had the webpage
vanagongti.com, but that conversion had some bugs, the owner couldnt install it
themselves, and it went down without a sound. THey also used the I-4 2,0 brand
new from Mexico.
