The reason for Lazenby vanishing into obscurity was that his manager
advised him not to do any more Bond movies, as they would typecast him and
hurt his reputation as a 'serious actor'. The producers of 007 movies
leaned on him to do another one, but he sternly refused and was blacklisted
as a result. He never played in anything much after that.
Great advice.

MAC: after I was through cleaning the rear screen of my 'new' acquisition,
the first 'customisation' was a q-list decal.

PS After two years of working on the I5, I'd almost forgotten about the
simplicity and accessibility of the early I4 Audis. Here in Europe the cars
didn't get fuel injection until the '90s and the result is that you can
dance the lambada around the engine block. No electronics to deal with,
either. The shade-tree mechanic's dream... I'll do a side-by side shot of
the 80's and 90q's engine bays for my site soon.
