Engine removal in 5ktq

I just finished getting the engine out of my parts car. I can't belive what PITA it 
was. I've taken engines out befor (mercedes 300d, bmw 735I) and this was by 
for the hardest. Access to alot of things is just so limited. I don't look forward 
to replacing the engine mount under the exhaust manifold when it is needed.

I was at my brothers house just after he removed the engine from a Subaru 
Legacy, It was much easier to take out. One cool thing was the fact that they 
use 2 big connectors for all the wiring going to the engine (why don't more car 
makers do this? It would have to make installing the engines easier). 

I do love driving my Audi, and working on it is really a hobby (I would probably 
need a project car even if I could afford new cars!). I have new respect for 
those of you who have put the 5 cylinder turbo engine in a 4kq.

Any other opinions or stories about taking engines out, or putting engines in 
these cars?
