Turbo conversion guys!

Wonder what a panel K & N filter, a perforated air box, and appropriate ducting (why IS the airbox so close to the EM anyway?) would do in comparison to the cone filters? I'd try it, but don't have the time. Any volunteers?

Maybe on the dyno... My homebuilt cone filter conversion took half a second
of my 0-60 time compared to a K&N panel in the stock air box. But I take the
air dangerously near the ground and don't breath the 300oF air next to the
turbo as the TAP unit does... I do have some problems with dirty filters.
