The hose from the pump to the rack does have a damper, it looks like
a 2" long "joint" in the hose. I forgot to ask the Hose shop keep/reuse
this bit so the steering on my wife's 89 200Q groans. I would get a
"used" hose from a wreck, cut out the damper and take your current
hose to the hose shop and have them insert it for you, bit more work
but mucho cheaper.
