Steve,
I have been using the Mobil synt. ATF in my 5K turbo for over 3 years, no
issues with the tranny. Keep in mind that only about a !/3 is Mobil since
it is very difficult to change all the fluid without a special set up.
Take care,
Avi

Subject: ATF choices/ converter draining
An upcoming trans swap forces me to choose a trans fluid. Checked out the
Mobil 1 bottle on the shelf at the local WallyMart, and it indicates it is
"100% synthetic....exclusive of carrier oil"
Uh-huh.
Nothing mentioned about this at the Mobil site.

It's ~$7.50 a litre. Perhaps a better chooce would be the Amsoil ATF? Even
at double the price?

Any thoughts/experience of one vs. the other? I'm a very satified user of
the Amsoil motor oil and filter, btw.
Trans will be resealed before installation...unclear whether converter will
be drained. Anyone ever done it? Bentley is a little vague on the
procedure...at least to me.
TIA
