Haudi,

Yesterday I saw two Audi Sport Team Joest tractor-trailers (presumably
with R8Cs #77 and #78 on board) and a small shuttle van (do they pick up
the drivers from the airport with it?) on I-80 just east of Evanston,
Wyoming. Presumably they were enroute from Texas to Portland, after the 1-2
finish in Texas - caught the last 40 minutes or so of NBC's coverage in my
hotel while at a bike race in Casper.

One transporter (the first one passed) was a Mercedes-Benz with German tags
- what's the MA region, Maastricht is the only thing that pops to mind...
Prompted me to wonder what sort of hoops (ala S2-import-musings) were
required to drive this on our fine USofA public roads... The second was a
more US-normal Volvo/WhiteGMC rig. Shuttle van looked kind of odd as well,
but I was by it too fast to really notice. Oops.

1991 200 quattro, 110k, not driving this when I saw the transporters :(
1998 GTI 16v, 213k, poured 4+ tanks of gas through over the weekend, no
trouble at all (1600mi, 30-33 mpg @ ~limit+10, cheap 85 R+M/2 octane) :)
