New A4

I visited in Ingostadt in late May. While doing the mandatory plant tour
there was a body shell under wraps waiting to go into the room where random
production bodyshells are checked for dimension tolerances. The outline was
similar to an A6 but as you say those are made in Neckarsulm, it was also
slightly smaller than an A6. We came to the conculsion that it was a new A4
bodyshell from a test production line somewhere else in the plant.

The visitor centre was a building site back then, is it finished yet?

We also saw what looked like the TT recall production line, the cars were
definately used (non-standard alloys, badges, stone chips, etc). I was surprised
this was in public view.
