You can get an Audi oil filter by walking up to the dealer parts 
counter?  I have to order and wait a week or pay a delivery premium.  And 
the price list for all Audi parts seems to start at $10.

That's why I concur with your advice to give Carlsen a call.  Or TPC  or 
Clair or  Chris Semple.
